1But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. – 2 Timothy 3:1-5
But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. – 2 Timothy 3:13
Contrary to the evidence around us and the fake new reports you have heard, God is not dead and He is not wringing His hands in heaven wondering what He is going to do with this rebellious sinful world. Yes, the world is in a mess and that’s because we are living in the last days before Jesus returns to judge the world. We are seeing the signs of the end approaching, as the “future casts it’s shadow on the present“. Men are lovers of self and it’s going to get worse and worse as we approach the end. This is not a “doom and gloom” attitude but a Biblical reality check to put your faith in Jesus Christ and watch for His appearing!
God is the orchestrater of time, it’s His plan we are following. God sees the end from the beginning and He is able to make the bad of the world work for His glory and that is what He has been doing ever since sin destroyed His creation. God also rewards those who faithfully cling to Him, pray and proclaim the truth of His Holy name. Praise God, there is always sufficient grace to endure the trails and tribulations of this world. Therefore, if you call yourself a Christian you need to stop compromising with the the world, the flesh and the devil and instead now is the time to stand up, show up and shine for Jesus.
“This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” – Psalm 118:24
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” – 1 Corinthians 15:58
God is working amid the messes of the world and as a matter of fact, God does His best work when circumstances seems the most dire and dark to us. When we are weak, God is strong. God does not promise to keep us from adversity but gives us His power to overcome adversity. We live on a battle ground, the bullets of sin are being fired all the time by our enemy Satan and by those who blatantly serve him and by those who blindly serve him. Don’t be surprised by these attacks but put on the full armor of God (your defensive protection) and pray without ceasing (your offensive weapon based on God’s word)!
Ephesians 6: 10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forcesof wickedness in the heavenly places. 13Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, 15and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;16in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, 19and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
When we realize this world is not our home we can begin to be used by God for His purpose and receive His provision and joy. When there appears to be no way … God makes a way … Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). God’s will is gonna get done and Jesus is coming soon to rapture His church and judge the world for sin. What is Jesus going to say to you on the day? “I never knew you” or “Why, did you not live the abundant new life I gave you?” or “Well done my good and faithful servant“.
16Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter. 17“If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. 18“But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” – Daniel 3:16-18
These three young Jewish men did not compromise with the world or shrink back from acknowledging where their help came from and today three not so youthful Christian men “Bad Back, Been Sacked and More To Go”, know where there help comes from. BTW, I am “More To Go”, which I will explain some other time. Also, in my case I originally was going to name this article “shut up, show up and shine“.
Yes, Jesus Delivers! Hallelujah!
