Becoming a Proverbs 31 wife means we labor diligently to keep our home safe and secure and do all we can to make sure it stays that way and also find pleasure in doing so.  It will entail constantly working out how to make our home a stable place by keeping it a place of peace and safety.  Daily prayer to our Father in Heaven is key.

It means seeking all opportunities of doing good works internally and externally, having an  inward godliness, which lies in peace, righteousness, and joy in the Holy Spirit.  She works willingly with her hands helping others as she sees the need, serving in love not by constraint but willing having the love of God and Christ and not with mercenary selfish views but to bring glory to God in all things

A lot of women are in charge of the household finances and have to live by a budget which helps keep the family from coming into financial ruin if run with discretion and diligence. Her role is to make sure she buys whatever is needed with wisdom doesn’t spend lavishly on things that really aren’t needed.  I believe it should be a case of what is needed as opposed to what is wanted.  Financial diligence is key to any family running smoothly. Becoming a Proverbs 31 wife means you look for opportunities to buy things at a cheaper price even if it means going a distance away to do so or at least waiting for the items to be lowered in price. Pray to God for wisdom on how to be financial intelligent and use the money God provides in such a way that it glorifies Him and makes your husband happy too.

Becoming a Proverbs 31 wife means you spend money wisely. You are careful to purchase quality items which her family needs making sure you get them at very inexpensive prices.  I never buy my clothes at cost price as an example.  I seek out the discounted racks first and save a lot of money by doing so.  Thrift shops have treasures galore and coupons and stores that offer point rewards can be a great way to save too

Financial intelligence can be found online by searching for website that help us understand about money and how the system works. We can also take financial diligence classes, courses or seminars.  Financial Peace University if one such course that comes to mind. All of this knowledge will help us run our households better and increase the faith our husbands have in us.  God is glorified by this very much and we won’t have to keep going to Him to rescue us from a financial mess too.
