Daniel 9:27 – The 7 Year Tribulation Period

“And he | will make a firm covenant | with the many | for one week, | but in the middle of the week | he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; | and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, | even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”   NASB 
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.  KJV

The ruler will make a treaty with the people for a period of one set of seven, but after half this time, he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds, he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration, until the fate decreed for this defiler is finally poured out on him.”  NLT 

This is my interpretation of Daniel 9:27
.
– And “he” – this is the Antichrist, the one who rides in on the white horse to conquer the world when the first seal is opened at the start of the Tribulation period (Revelation 6:1).  The “he” is not Jesus Christ, the Messiah who was “cut off” on the cross 69 weeks (483 years) after the decree to restore and rebuilt Jerusalem in the twentieth year of Artaxerxe’s reign in 449 BC (Daniel 9:25).  The stewardship of the Messiah by the Jews was cut off 449 BC + 483 years = 33 AD and transferred to the Church and will remain this way until the Church is removed at the Rapture.  The “he” is the prince of the people (Rome) who destroyed the temple and the city of Jerusalem in 70 AD.  The Antichrist will be the prince of the revived Roman Empire which is the Global New World Order that will take over the world after the “Rapture” of the Church.  The Antichrist comes on the scene after the Rapture and conquers the world, not with a sword but with a false promises of peace and security, if you obey him and those governments that make a covenant with him.  He will probably take credit for destroying Damascus and all of Israel enemies (fulfilling the Psalm 83 war or the Ezekiel 38 war).  He will probably also say that the Christians (who are taken by God in the Rapture of the Church) were taken in judgement by God for standing in the way of Globalism and Humanism.

– will make a firm covenant  – The Antichrist makes an existing covenant “stronger”.  There is already a Trump Peace covenant to divide the land of Israel and make a Palestinian State.  The Antichrist will probably “strengthen” this covenant which will allow the Jews to sacrifice on the temple mount in Jerusalem.  Perhaps this is the “bow” the Antichrist carries, his false promise of peace and security through Jewish sacrifice to God.

– with many – many nations will agree in a  7 year covenant to allow the Jews to sacrifice on the temple mount and to form the New World Order and persecute anyone who disagrees with this agenda.  This could be the 10 nation end time confederation (Revelation 17:12).

– for one week – this is a 7 year agreement made by the Antichrist with the many nations.  This is the final week (7 years) of the 70 weeks (490 years) of discipline that were decreed for the Jews (Daniel 9:24).  Perhaps this will wake up the sleeping Christians In Name Only CINO … who will become the martyred Tribulation Saints who give a testimony that Jesus is the Messiah and He took His Bride, the Church, in the Rapture.

– but in the “midst” middle of the week – 3 1/2 year “after” the Antichrist makes the covenant with many.

– he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; – the Antichrist will stop the sacrifices at the temple at the 3 1/2 year mark because Satan is on the earth having been cast down out of Heaven (Revelation 12:9).

– and on the wing of abominations will come “one” who makes desolate, – this “one” is Satan, he will demand to be worshiped at the temple!  Satan desolates the temple by this abdominal act of demanding worship be given to him instead of God.  “On the wing of abomination” could  be his wings since he was a cherub before his fall but most commentaries say that the wing means the edge of the temple … therefore somewhere near the temple Satan will set up an idol, an image that must be worshiped!

– even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate. – the complete destruction of Satan has been decreed since Genesis 3:15.  After Satan is cast out of Heaven God’s wrath will be poured out on earth for the last 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation, until there is a complete destruction of all those who defy God and then Satan will be cast into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years.

This 22021 is beginning of new season, the word released in Hebrew 12:27 The Lord said I will shake the Heaven & the Earth, through Corona virus, the world is shaking now, & next shaking, the Heaven that is within us. His favorite is the ruminant church, will get brighter, while the non believers will be shifting into a darker world….
