Ode to a Computer  by Roger Ricketts  1992

Electric spirits so encased
By plastic pieces laid in place
Upon the floor that cold and hollow
Sits the reason for our problem

Hear me now oh disk drives whining
Spin real fast and keep your timing
Line the bits all up in rows
Move the data to and fro

Erase bad messages from display
Fix the errors right away
Leave no trace of glitch or virus
Patch the code of hacking pirates

Respond to all requests on time
Create reports like towering shrines
Let no job fail or program blunder
So Tech Support can rest in slumber
