Three Truths

As a watcher and Berean waiting patiently for the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I have great anticipation that He will burst through the skies very soon.  That being said, I have often wondered how many people are having near-daily dreams and visions from the Lord and I can honestly say I have only had one scripture He laid on my heart in 2016 when I really saw the state of the nations and realized we are truly in the End Times. God confirmed this on three occasions and I have since always kept this scripture in my mind.

Matthew 25:1-13 is that scripture.  It is about 5 wise and 5 foolish virgins and their fate while waiting for the Bridegroom to come.  It is a story which many have interpreted to mean many different things.  I am not going to try and do that in this post, what I do want to do though, is address something that God keeps laying on my heart.

The fact that they were all waiting for the Bridegroom to come is commendable as many of us are doing this right now with eager and sometimes anxious anticipation because as we see the day approaching, things in the world are getting worse daily.  But our trust that He will return soon keeps us focused and faithful.  So that being said, I would like to say that the three images above are what I am going to write above.

Firstly, we must be ready at any time as He could burst through the skies for us any time.  Yes, there have been multiple dates set and none have come to pass yet, but that’s the point.  He will come when we least expect so we must be ready on a daily basis. My husband and I, have spoken about the Rapture on a daily basis since meeting and marrying in August 2017. No we are not date-setters and we live very practical, happy lives and enjoy each day that God allows us to see, but it has resonated in our spirit that He is coming soon and so we keep our wicks trimmed, lamps full and one ear cocked waiting to hear the trumpet sound.

We are blessed daily by this because we feel an assurance that He is near and blessed that we are actually aware and watching and have great anticipation about it.  This is wonderful!

Secondly, we must have cleaned our inner house by the time He arrives.  Our spiritual inner -self must be pure, sanctified and cleansed.  This is done by daily diving into the Word, daily repentance of sins and constant prayer and praise.  This is an easy thing to do daily because our love for God and Jesus and our understanding that only righteousness and justice can stand before the Lord will make us able and want to constantly be pleasing Him with our daily washing.  This is not a salvation issue, no we are saved by the Blood of the Lamb and once born-again, giving our lives to Him, covered.  But we sin daily, in thought, word and deed and because we love Him, we want to confess and work out our Salvation in fear and trembling, knowing it pleases Him that we are aware of our sin nature and willing to work towards being more like Jesus daily.  It is not hard and it is refreshing, purifying and loving.

Thirdly, I pray anyone who reads this understands, that there will be a time when it will be too late and the door will be shut.  Whether you believe all virgins were Christians and some get left out, or you believe only five were Christians and the others in name only, the fact remains that five missed out on being with the Bridegroom and going into the marriage feast.  We don’t want that to be us.

Well I hope this short article will bless anyone reading and remember, “We are here till we hear”.  Maranatha!.
