Up the hill to Calvary with Jesus and the cross

He carries things that weigh me down and only bring me loss

He reaches down to pull me up each step along the way

And burns up all my burdens in His all consuming flame

 

Up the hill to Calvary, my Jesus carries me

Up the mountain, to my home in that city made of gold

 

I see so many weary as we press along and climb

Your way Lord it is easy but storms blow all the time

As I journey through this life as did the prophets old

May my offerings unto You be refined as precious gold

 

Climb, Lord Jesus, Climb Praise God, You are mine

On my way back home to that city made of gold
